Ludo needs no introduction in an Indian house: four colours, four tokens each, a six to get out, and the very specific joy of landing on a friend and sending them all the way back to the yard.
This version runs in the browser with nothing to install. Share a room code, and up to four people play while the rest of the room watches and rotates in next game. The server rolls the dice and decides which moves are legal, so there is no arguing about whether that token could really have gone there — and if you only have one legal move, it just plays it for you.
How to play Ludo
- 1Create a room and share the code. Two to four people take the seats; a bigger room rotates seats each game.
- 2Roll a six to bring a token out of your yard onto your start square.
- 3Move a token by the number you rolled. If only one token can legally move, the app moves it for you.
- 4Land on an opponent on a plain square and they go back to the yard — and you roll again. The eight starred squares are safe.
- 5A six also earns another roll, but three sixes in a row burns your whole turn.
- 6Go all the way round, up your home column, and land exactly on home. First player with every token home wins.
Ludo FAQ
How many people can play Ludo here?+
Four play at once. More people can be in the room — they watch, and the seats rotate to a different four for the next game.
Do I need to download anything?+
No. It runs in your phone browser. Share the room code and everyone is playing in seconds.
How long does a game take?+
A full four-token game runs 20–40 minutes. The host can set two tokens each before starting for a game that finishes in about ten.
What happens if someone loses signal mid-game?+
Their seat keeps playing on a short timer — it rolls and moves for them — so the board never freezes waiting. They pick up their full turn clock the moment they are back.
Are safe squares included?+
Yes, all eight: each player's start square and the starred square eight ahead of it. A token standing on one cannot be captured.
